Leland "Rat Face" McAllister III: Leland "Rat Face" McAllister III is from the famous McAllister family that made it's fortune by making high-end artistic marbles. Being the oldest, Rat Face (an affectionate nickname given to him by his friends) was expected to take over the family business. But much to his parent's chagrin, as a young boy he became obsessed with the imperfect marbles that the company occassionally--but very rarely!--created. These imperfect marbless were to be immediately destroyed per company policy so as to not tarnish the company's reputation. Rat Face volunteered to destroy them, but instead he secretly hoarded them. Upon turning 18, he started a small museum on the Oregon coast called, "The Museum of Imperfect McAllister Marbles." This infuriated his parents and they disinherited him. But, ironically, these imperfect marbles, quickly became valued at more than the most fancy perfect marbles his family created. He sold exactly one marble in order to fund his rather simple life and to fund the museum. He wouldn't change a thing. Fancy-schmancy be darned. Imperfection is much more interesting.
Materials: He is made from a navy blue mitten and a recycled grey sweater. His nose, butt, and belly button are metal recycled hardware/findings. Eyes are plastic with recycled hardware. He is filled with poyfill and dried beans (to give his legs and butt some weight). He comes with a small satchel and five marbles. Three of the marbles are on museum stands for display.
Note: He does best when propped up against something.
Size: Relative to most of my creatures, he is on the larger size. In sitting position he is just under 10 inches tall (butt to ear tip). With legs extended, he's about 12.5 inches.
Shipping: $14 (US shipping only. I currently do not offer international shipping.)
Shipping Info: I take creatures to the post office on Tuesdays and Thursdays. Once there, your creature will ship USPS Priority Mail, which generally takes 2-3 days. A tracking number will be provided once it's at the post office. (If you order on a Tuesday or Thursday, it might go out the following shipping day.)
Please note: Because creatures have small parts that could pose a choking hazard, they should be kept away from small children and pets. And, while I pride myself on their quality, they are handmade and designed to sit next to your computer or on your nightstand. They’re not for young kids or rough-and-tumble play. Please look at the size dimensions of a creature before you order as photos may make them seem smaller or larger than they actually are. Each creature comes with a printed copy of their story. Thanks for looking!
Anne's creatures are silly, weird, and awesome. Each one has a unique personality and just wants to love and be loved.
The superfluous is the most necessary.
